Phillipa Lepley has introduced a number of truly special hand embroidered overlays into the new collection, one of which is the ‘Thomasina Woodland Jasmine’ overlay. Taking inspiration from the florals that Phillipa loves, vines of woodland leaves are intricately interwoven with magnolias, orchids and jasmine with each motif intentionally placed to create a natural flow throughout the floor length overlay. With a classic décolleté neckline and exquisite all over embroidery, this overlay brings a graceful, elegant feel creating an undeniably timeless bridal look.

The overlay is featured here over a slim strapless silk crepe dress, with Phillipa Lepley’s signature hidden corsetry discreetly accentuating the waist. Offering full flexibility to create a look unique to the bride and her personal day, the overlay can be permanently attached to the dress beneath to create one cohesive look or, removed or added to a base dress later in the bride’s wedding reception, allowing her to carry her look throughout the day into the evening.

Delicate satin stitch combined with French knots are expertly hand embroidered across the finest quality tulle, embellished with the tiniest individually sewn crystal beads adding a subtle sparkle to the look.

Sheer full length sleeves and a deep v neckline form lines that perfectly complement the female form. Phillipa says, ‘My team of artisans and I spend a lot of time obsessing over the lines to ensure they are exactly right and work beautifully for the bride, complementing her frame at each and every angle’.

Phillipa Lepley veils are as extraordinarily beautiful as the gowns, made for the bride to complete the story of her look, where the veil balances and enhances the dress beneath. The ‘Thomasina Woodland Jasmine’ overlay is completed here with our hand-crafted Grand Margaux Maiden’s Hair Fern veil.
