Sophie’s South Of France Wedding
Phillipa designed a completely bespoke satin chiffon and lace dress for Sophie to wear to her wedding in the South of France.
The base dress had a soft ‘V’ neckline – the perfect shape drawn on Sophie in her Toile Fittings – and a corseted bodice, flaring to a full skirt with an undulating hem of soft fluid Italian silks. A satin chiffon overlay kept the dress feeling light and airy with beautiful movement as Sophie walked.
For her straps, Sophie chose French corded lace, designed to sit off-the-shoulder to echo her collar bones and frame her shoulders. The lace was grown organically down on to the neckline of the dress with each motif delicately finished by hand by our artisan team.
We created a two tier, silk tulle veil to go with Sophie’s dress, edged with the same wide corded lace and cut with extra length to work with Sophie’s dramatic train.
Sophie completed her look with our Mistletoe headdress – seed pearls captured individually in tendrils of gold wire, kept organic in design to allow the bride to mould and twist as desired. This was the perfect crowning look to Sophie’s romantic and ethereal bespoke wedding dress.
