Phillipa Lepley bride Bana
A strapless, white Italian duchess satin gown with a sculptural dropped corseted waist and voluminous gathered skirt.
Phillipa Lepley bride Sky married in London, wearing a corseted, princess-line gown in ivory duchess satin, defined by a square neckline, elegant wide straps and modern bows. A detachable pleated Watteau train in Peau de Soie completed the look.
Travelling from New York to London, Sky fell in love with Phillipa Lepley’s iconic ‘Jessica Watteau’ design, collaborating with the Atelier to develop a couture variation uniquely suited to her and her wedding.
Shaped over a signature Phillipa Lepley corset, the gown featured carefully positioned princess seams and darts to elongate the figure and define the silhouette. A square neckline and wide straps framed the décolletage, leading to modern square bows at the back neckline. The detachable Watteau train brought a contrasting dimension to the silhouette. Crafted in crisp Peau de Soie, its architectural pleats created sculptural volume at the back.
Refined through fittings at the Phillipa Lepley Conservatory, Sky’s gown evolved from initial sketch to toile and silk through an intentional international couture service, with every detail considered to achieve the perfect fit and proportion.
Sky married at Carlton House before celebrating at the Victoria and Albert Museum, beneath the magnificent Raphael Cartoons, dating to 1515.
