Phillipa Lepley bride Sydney married in Ibiza wearing a couture strapless gown in fresh white slipper satin, defined by a contrasting Peau de Soie neckline drape and dramatic tails.

Contemporary and striking, the gown was shaped over a signature Phillipa Lepley internal corset, specially constructed for Sydney to create a sculpted silhouette while remaining light enough for a destination wedding. The skirt followed the figure through the hips before softly flaring, with elongated princess seams to flatter.

The defining detail was the contrasting Peau de Soie drape, developed and refined in the Atelier to sit away from the body – a sculptural detail accentuating the defined corseted silhouette beneath. Draped by hand in a single piece, the fabric was allowed to fall organically, with each fold carefully pinned and sewn to hold its structure. Framing the neckline, the drape travelled around the body and into a low back.

From the back, the Peau de Soie continued into dramatic square-ended tails. A concealed bustle allowed the tails to be lifted for dancing, creating an elegant bow-like effect visible from both the front and back, or left to fall at full length.
