Phillipa Lepley Bride Nina
Phillipa Lepley bride Nina wore a couture variation of the iconic ‘Vienna Jasmine Ivy’ gown for her wedding in Rhodes.
Travelling from Tel Aviv, Nina collaborated closely with the Phillipa Lepley Atelier throughout a series of couture fittings in London, where every element of the design was tailored specifically to her vision. The gown was built upon Phillipa’s signature internal corset, individually crafted to Nina’s measurements to sculpt and define the silhouette while providing support.
A warm ivory satin organza formed the foundation of the design, layered with the delicate, French ‘Jasmine Ivy’ lace. The design featured a clean square neckline and delicate cap sleeves, balancing modern structure with soft femininity. Each Jasmine lace motif was individually hand-cut and appliquéd by hand in the Chelsea Atelier. Fine needle and threadwork was used to position every petal, creating subtle depth and a beautifully three-dimensional finish that is synonymous with couture craftsmanship.
For her destination wedding in the Greek sunshine, Nina chose a full circular skirt without petticoats, allowing the gown to remain lightweight and effortless to wear throughout the day. The train was designed to bustle seamlessly for the evening celebrations.
A short two-tier silk tulle veil completed the look. The simplicity of the veil allowed the intricate lace detailing to remain visible through the fine silk tulle, creating a playful yet elegant finish.
“I truly couldn’t have imagined anything more beautiful or more ‘me’.”
