Apple & Oak Tied Back
The Apple & Oak Tied Back gown celebrates Phillipa’s love of lace: A demure long-sleeved wedding dress that features a new Apple Blossom & Oak leaf lace.
A draped, square neckline frames the décolleté, over a signature Phillipa Lepley sculpting corset. With an understated elegance, the bodice leads to delicate long sleeves with an origami-like pleated sleeve head.
A new lace to the Phillipa Lepley collection – Apple Blossom & Oak leaves dance across the whole design for a romantic bridal look. Inspired by the intricate scallop detailing of the lace, Phillipa chose to follow the peaks and valleys with hand-sewn bridal buttons along the sleeve openings. The buttons are meticulously placed along the scallop edge, before being sewn by Phillipa’s senior hand-finisher, whose delicate touch graces every couture gown. The dress hem is also finished with appliquéd scallop detailing.
An integrated lace ‘apron’ overskirt with asymmetrical scalloped ties forms a focal point at the back of the dress before the skirt descends into a long train. Phillipa Lepley brides can opt for detachable back petticoats to add drama and fullness to the silhouette.
A couture lace veil is the perfect finishing touch to a lace wedding dress. For the Radiance campaign shoot, Apple & Oak Tied Back was styled with a two-tier ‘Ivoire Scroll Border’ lace veil with a flipped front. Phillipa Lepley couture lace veils are crafted from the finest silk tulle sourced in France and hand-appliqued in-house at the Phillipa Lepely Atelier – ivoire scroll lace is positioned along the edge of the tulle to create a framing border around the bride.
Paired with exquisite diamonds from David Morris Jewellers.
