Vienna Duchess Drape

Vienna Duchess Drape is created from the most sumptuous ivory Italian duchess satin that drapes across the bodice, with very fine pleats at the décolleté neckline graduating organically into larger pleats, crescendoing down to the corseted waistline. Highly skilled and very delicate hand-sewing is required to ensure the draping holds this refined yet seemingly understated position. The neckline is completed with 3” on-the-edge-of-shoulder straps with the duchess satin drape following the feminine lines, positioned perfectly to accentuate the collarbones.

The waist is defined and elongated by the Phillipa Lepley corset hidden beneath, descending into a full, circular skirt beginning at the high hip. A romantic and very bridal sense of movement is created by multiple layers of different weights of silk including lightweight satin and two layers of fine silk organza – bound at the hem to create a luxurious and opulent look which catches the eye and photographs beautifully.
