COUTURE WEDDING DRESS: SAN MARINO
‘San Marino’, named after the historic, architecturally stunning region in northern Italy, is an elegant couture wedding dress made of Italian duchess satin.
The pièce de résistance is the asymmetrically draped off the shoulder collar that is structured, yet softly handled, created using the finest heavy weight silk, which adds a touch of drama to this clean and simple look.
Beneath the bodice is a concealed Phillipa Lepley corset, further defining the shape of the bride. The Phillipa Lepley corset is renowned for flattering every figure in an eternally feminine way providing a great amount of structure and support.
Moulded to the corseted base shape, the dress hugs the body and follows the bride’s form with a slim, straight skirt. A full circular overskirt descends from either side of the hip on the front and into a long, cathedral length 85” train at the back, contrasting with the narrow skirt shape within.
So soft to the touch, the fabric has been expertly shaped to beautifully showcase the bride’s collarbone and glide over her hips.
For brides looking to embrace simplistic, minimalist beauty, this couture dress offers the perfect solution. It makes a statement without detracting from the bride’s features and offers a dramatic silhouette without overshadowing the chic clean lines of the elegant skirt shape.
Pair it with an embroidered Phillipa Lepley veil or with diamond and pearl jewellery.
Phillipa Lepley is widely recognised as being the leading British couture wedding dress designer. Her wedding dress shop in London, Chelsea, has over 50 dresses, all of which have been made in England from start to finish at her atelier.
