Inspiring scenes of an English countryside garden are brought to life through Phillipa Lepley’s artisan skill in this collection film.
We are delighted to share a video from the Phillipa Lepley Secret Garden shoot.
This video features floating tulle, slipper satin and silk brocade bridal dresses, many of which have been daintily embellished displaying the unparalleled artistry that is synonymous with the Phillipa Lepley brand.
Featuring a combination of styles, many of the dresses are incredibly fresh and deceptively simple in appearance, with others more elaborate both in terms of colour, shape and embellishments. There is a subtle ‘Debutante ball gown’ theme running through, with a classic underlying tone of pure sophistication. Clean, crisp and elegant silhouettes are often softened with feminine hand tied bows of balletic blush pink or ethereal sheer tulle.
Phillipa and her team’s exceptional hard work, dedication and passion shines through this, and every other, couture collection they create. For this, they worked tirelessly to re-create and evoke the feeling of the beautiful, inspiring scenes around Phillipa’s home in the English countryside. The flowers incorporated into many of the designs are bigger and more prominent than in previous wedding dress collections. This again reflects Phillipa’s love for the countryside and her garden; in particular the wildflowers she has grown such as cowslip, meadow buttercups, wild carrot, cornflowers, oxeye daisies and wild red clover.
“Hours upon hours of hard work go in to each and every Phillipa Lepley dress. Seeing them come to life at shoots, with all my magical team buzzing around them, is one of the best and most rewarding parts of my job – second only to seeing the dresses on happy brides who fall in love with them.” Phillipa Lepley
Phillipa Lepley is widely recognised as being the leading British couture wedding dress designer. Her wedding dress shop in London, Chelsea, has over 50 dresses, all of which have been made in England from start to finish at her atelier.
