Phillipa Lepley bride Georgiana married in the sunlit sanctuary of Deià, Mallorca, wearing a bespoke, one-of-a-kind, high-neck duchess satin gown with scattered Primrose hand-embroidery.

Georgiana’s couture Phillipa Lepley wedding dress was adorned with a delicate tapestry of florals, drawing inspiration from the beauty of Mallorca’s natural surroundings. The Primrose embroidery, designed by the Atelier’s Head of Embellishment, began at the bodice and gently cascaded down the skirt, forming a graceful dégradé that became lighter as it reached the hem. Phillipa herself oversaw each stage of the embroidery artwork, ensuring the placement and density of the flowers reflected Georgiana’s vision with a quiet beauty that would come alive in the warm, golden light of her wedding.

The embroidery incorporated elements of maiden’s hair ferns, primroses, and orchids, each rendered in satin stitch, delicate cording, and silk chiffon appliqué. The embroidery design was hand-appliquéd onto duchess satin, ensuring that each floral motif appeared as if in bloom, effortlessly blending into the gown’s seamless lines. By crafting the embroidery in-house, the Phillipa Lepley team were able to design each floral element uniquely for Georgiana, creating a truly bespoke gown.

The base of Georgiana’s wedding dress was made from luxurious ivory Italian duchess satin, a choice that imbued the dress with a refined luminosity perfectly suited for the golden-hour reception. The bodice was corseted to create a flattering silhouette tailored precisely to Georgiana’s form, providing structure yet maintaining softness in its contours. 

To complement her gown, Georgiana wore a two-tier, silk tulle veil – an exquisite piece adorned with the iconic Phillipa Lepley ‘Margaux Maiden’s Fern’ embroidered motif. 

This design, crafted in a variation specifically for Georgiana, featured an organic hand-embroidered border of maiden’s hair fern, primroses, and orchids, echoing the floral embroidery of her gown. Embellished with ivory pearls, tiny glass beads, and a subtle scattering of crystals, the veil captured the light with an understated sparkle. 

The veil’s embroidery was arranged to form a bespoke border, gently tapering out beyond the hem of the dress. The gradual taper created a beautiful visual effect as though the flowers were delicately spilling from the dress onto the veil, disappearing into the gentle folds of tulle and softly framing the bride.

From hand-drawn embroideries brought to life stitch-by-stitch, to the tailored silhouette of her corseted bodice, Georgiana’s dress and veil were created with the highest level of personalisation and artistry. 

Designing a bespoke wedding dress with Phillipa Lepley is a highly creative and uniquely special process. Crafted in London by a small team of specialist artisans, every cut, stitch, and bead is a labor of love woven into silk tulle and satin to create a one-of-a-kind couture gown.
