Phillipa has a deep passion for her intricate maiden’s fern embroidery design, which has featured in many of her iconic couture wedding dresses over the past 35 years. For ‘Moulante Maiden’s Fern’, the design has been carefully adapted to a slim silhouette with every motif individually placed to best flatter the form. 

Embroidery becomes worship-worthy in the hands of our skilled artisans, who meticulously design each detail with precision. Satin chiffon appliqué, meticulous threadwork, and intricate beading come together on fine tulle in a piece of wearable art. 

Delicate crescents of flowers adorn the décolleté and a quintet of primroses gracefully frames the face at the neckline, while strings of orchids and primroses are interspersed in an elegant symmetrical pattern with maiden’s hair fern. Tiny pearls and sparkle beads cascade from the high collar, gradually fading towards the hem.

The embellished design is hand-embroidered onto a fine tulle overlay with a high neck and floating cap sleeves. Underneath a pristine, strapless, ivory silk crepe dress creates a contemporary silhouette. Featuring a specialist corset to define the waist, the gown flares into a very slight, soft A-line shape. 

For the ‘Radiance’ campaign shoot, Phillipa paired Moulante Maiden’s Fern with a dramatic Peau de Soie overskirt, the perfect adaptation for the modern bride who seeks two looks in one.

An exquisite embroidered wedding dress is perfectly paired with a hand-embroidered veil. Phillipa opted for a two-tier silk tulle veil with a breathtaking hand-embroidered organic border of threadwork flowers, maiden’s fern leaves and stems, embellished with ivory pearls, sequins, crystals & tiny glass beads – a beautiful finishing touch.
