Phillipa Lepley Bride Nina
French ‘Jasmine Ivy’ lace, individually hand-appliquéd onto warm ivory satin organza for a timeless couture finish.
The pièce de résistance of Phillipa Lepley bride Davina’s bespoke ‘Vienna Waltz’ wedding gown was the off-the-shoulder neckline, enveloping her in the most exquisite ivory Italian duchess satin. Draped in the skilled hands of the Phillipa Lepley Atelier to form sumptuous folds of fabric, the collar appeared deceptively effortless, as though whispered on. It was precisely fitted to Davina during her fitting appointments at Phillipa Lepley to highlight her décolleté and shoulders.
An internal Phillipa Lepley corset defined Davina’s waist before descending into a full, circular skirt with additional petticoats for a regal, bridal look. The undulation of fabric in the skirt created a beautiful effect of light and shade and a wonderful sense of movement.
The beauty of the Phillipa Lepley couture experience is that every element of the design can be tailored to the bride’s wedding day, personal style and requirements. Davina opted for ¾ length detachable sleeves, to allow for coverage during the ceremony and a less formal evening look for the reception. Buttons and loops were skilfully sewn into the sleeves to permit a seamless transition from day to evening.
